Alternate SI - Judging!

Alright! Need a couple of judges who are willing to devout a bit of time to this if they can. Anyone who wishes to may judge. Thanks!

Here was their criteria:

Teamwork: Did your tribe work together? Or did someone do all of the work? 10 points

Originality: Does it simply look like SI7? Or did you do a good job making it seem like an alternate version of the series? 10 points

Creativity: Does the game seem fresh? Unique? Or does it look like every ordinary ORG? 10 points

Graphics: Does the board look nice? Are the graphics clean? 10 points

Note: Your goal is to create an ALTERNATE season of Sausage Island, not simply the next season. If you create a typical season using our typical memory wall and graphics and all of that, then that would lose a lot of originality points. So keep in mind that you can do whatever you'd like with it. It's your game!

As I said before, their teamwork can really only be judged if you were in their blast chats. Brett and I will take care of that. You guys can skip teamwork.

If you could give your scores based on the rest of the criteria, that'd be great. Add comments here and there if you wish, and try to explore around their boards a little bit for their twists and write ups if you can. We'll average the scores and get a consensus to decide the winner.

Teamwork: Kourtney, Shawna, Judd, and Elyse did most of the work from what I could tell. The rest only seemed to pop in the chat from time to time, but all at least offered up suggestions. 6/10

Originality: It's plenty different from the series. Having it be an all male cast was a good way of still calling it Sausage Island. Visually it doesn't look like one of our seasons. 10/10

Creativity: The intro and fake girl accounts thing is kinda fun and different, that earns some points. Other than that it's mostly run of the mill. 6/10

Graphics: The logo is nice/eye catching. The background fits with it. Memory wall/board titles/confessional images all look good. Avatars are...meh! And they're pretty messy. Tribe flags look solid. 8/10

Teamwork: This tribe had the best overall teamwork. The chat was going pretty much 24/7 and was always full of people. Some carried more weight than others but that's to be expected. 9/10

Originality: Looks like a brand new series. Sausages vs tacos is a good way of keeping it sausage related. 10/10

Creativity: There's some unique stuff in here, visually and in terms of gameplay. It has an intro video which I like, and the side bar that you don't see everywhere. The RPG element is the most unique part and is a cool idea. The Waffle Shop and partner twist, I'm not a huge fan of, but that's just personally. The way they're done is somewhat new at least. Such as some of the items, the way you get money, and the way you're partnered. There's enough stuff here to keep the whole thing unique. 9/10

Graphics: The logo is basic but works. The memory wall is pretty hilarious and well made. Board colors overall aren't the best, especially the highlight, but the background looks good. Board titles are plain but they have them which is nice. Avatars look good. Confessional headers are meh. 6/10

Originality - 9

I liked how they did their research for this. Setting it in another Sausage Island (which isn't actually an island) was a very clever way to combat the norms of this series. Their season name sounded like something you guys would do, which isn't a bad thing, it just kind of didn't fit with the rest of the board flow.

Creaitivity - 8

I was going to score this lower, but looking at everything they actually did wow me. I loved how they logged into the players accounts to post little in character messages, and none of the players sounded the same. Their challenge seemed fun, albeit a bit flawed with Step 3, though I really feel as though I've seen it somewhere before. Also, the voting history seemed a bit familiar as well, I swear I've seen the exact same layout in another game.

Graphics - 9

Kourtney is absolutely stellar at making graphics. I remember the very first time she got photoshop, and now she's a total pro. The color schemes look great, the board graphics look phenomenal, avatars are flawless. Stellar job from Baci. The only thing I can see is the smoke seems a bit cut off in the Tribal Council graphic and that is a bit distracting.

I absolutely love how different it is. I agree with Lex, the Sausage vs. Tacos is a very clever way to tie it in together.

Creativity - 10/10

There is so much that's unique about this. The RPG element is great, and is totally something I would love to participate in. I like all the unique items they have in the store, and the whole moneymaking aspect would be interesting as well. I've never seen anything like what they showed us here, so props to them.

Graphics - 7/10

It's nice, but I'm not as wowed. It seems very simplistic, the avatars are nice and I love the memwall. Over all it works, though I think it could have been more.

It's too much into the Sausage Island canon. The back in time thing is kind of fun but the memory wall is all too similar to yours.

Creativity - 3/10

There's nothing for me to go off of here. There's pigs, there's a tree...that's all. The sausage fruit twist is bland and doesn't change anything at all, it's just harder to get an idol clue. The magic sausage is a bit interesting but you know, I'm not really impressed.

Graphics - 2/10

Once again, there's nothing there. It's incomplete, there are no avatars, the board looks messy. I can't give it higher than a 2.

Teamwork: I think most people tried to contribute, but ultimately they didn't all end up working together to get it all done. Some didn't know what they were doing but it wasn't for lack of effort. 3/10

Originality: Well it's certainly...different haha. The pig idea is actually kind of hilarious. It's incredibly silly in a stupid way, but weird enough to be funny to me. Doesn't look like a ripoff SI season. 10/10

Creativity: As I said, having the sausage theme translate to pigs and a farm is different but kinda fun. The intro is funny and I wouldn't mind playing a game like that, as silly as it sounds. The Sausage Tree is creative because it's a mix between exile and a shop. I don't think creativity was their problem exactly. Never seen any game like this, that's for sure. 7/10

Graphics: The logo haha. Good effort at least. Funny, not exactly beautiful. Memory wall is incomplete? Or there's just nine players. The board isn't great, neither is the background. Not many other graphics to judge. 3/10

Elyse Judd Shawna and Kourtney did the work, with a bit from Wanda here and there, but the collaborating that the 4 who did work together did together was pretty impressive. They discussed it quite a bit.

Originality: 10/10

Pretty fairly distinct from our series. Has its own unique identity


Creativity: 7/10

It sets itself apart from most games, though I could have done with more of a distinctive factor than just an all male cast. The game really feels like its own unique series though and doesn't look run of the mill at all

Graphics: 9/10

I love most of the graphics with the exception of the avatars which are kind of awful. I'm not a huge fan of the gray and the background, but it's very solid.

I didn't have this blastgroup on my main AIM, so when I was mobile I didn't get the updates for them, so I'm going with Lex's score for them. What bits I did see involved everyone working together more or less equally, so I trust this call.

Originality: 9/10

Has an identity distinct from our series. I'm personally not a huge fan of the tacos vs sausages theme to tie it in, but it is unique.

Creativity: 9/10

It looks very distinct from most ORGs with the exception of Shadow Survivor, which it looks quite a bit like The shop, the items in the shop, the RPG elements, and the partnering are all great though, and this game would be very interesting to play in.

Graphics: 7/10

It's pretty cohesive, but the player avatars, the confessional images, and the color scheme bring it down for me.

I wanted them to do well so much... but...

Teamwork: 3/10

They really did try... but at some point they decided this was Coach's department, and intended to just follow his lead, and it just all... fell apart, because he was busy. No one else took charge and nothing got done.

Originality: 10/10

It's definitely original! I really thought the pigs and the man eating sausages fruit trees were jokes for a few hours into the challenge. I really did. The fact that they aren't is hilarious to me though.

Creativity: 6/10

I wish there was more here to raise it up, but everything that is here is very unique and interesting. I kind of feel like this is what gsurvivor's next season will be as soon as Amanda rage quits. I would play it!

Graphics: 2/10

Creativity: I'll give some props to the fake girl account but I also don't like it and how they have the girls in the memory wall and having the girls confessionals when it should be about the guys confessionals, idk I think it's just too much that it makes it look messy. 5/10

Graphics: Nice and simple. 9/10

Originality: I'm not gonna lie, their's was my favourite while they were in the process of building, I took a peak of it earlier today and I loved it. I love the 'Sausage vs Taco" theme and it still fits with the Sausage Island theme, it's like a spin off to me.

Creativity: They were the only tribe to do an intro video and I love it. Love the side bar thing, the memory wall and all their twists are pretty creative. 9/10

Graphics: The memory wall graphics are my favourite part in this category. The logo is pretty nice, the only thing I don't like much is the confessionals, they're kinda plain to me. 8/10
