Come on in guys!
Boston Rob and Ibe voted out at Tribal Council. We're down to the final 18. The halfway point.
Immunity is back up for grabs
Tonight's challenge is called...
You've got your new tribes and already has your first vote. Let's see how well some of you will be able to work together. Here's how it works.
First, you'll split into three teams of two within your tribe. That means that two people will be benched from the challenge (more on them later).
You and your partner will be randomly paired up against another team of two from the other tribe. You'll be given a subforum to share with your opposition. The challenge will take place in there.
Your pair is at the end of a field opposite the other pair. You are armed with a trebuchet and a shield, and must launch lava rocks across the field towards the other pairs goal to earn points.
There are two roles in this challenge, one for you and your partner.
The Attacker: The attacker is in charge of firing the trebuchet at the enemy goal to score points for your pair.
Every thirty minutes, the attacker may fire a lava rock. They must post the following image to successfully fire:
If the attacker is successful and fires without being blocked, he or she will score a point for their pair. The attacker may then launch again thirty minutes or more later. It does not have to be exactly 30 minutes apart, or at :00 or :30 or anything like that. It may be longer than 30 minutes.
The Blocker: This player holds onto a sturdy wooden shield, and has an important job. They must keep their team from being scored against by blocking the lava rocks.
At any point, when the player with the shield sees an incoming attack, he or she may block the launch by posting the following:
This must be posted within TEN minutes of the attack against you. If it is outside of the ten minutes, your opponents will successfully score. If you are successful, you will stop your opponents from earning a point.
For every lava rock you launch successfully into your opponents goal, you will gain one point. Teamwork is essential. One person is needed to score points, and one to keep the enemies from scoring.
The role selection between you and your partner doesn't need to be made official. As soon as one of you begins to attack, or one begins to use the shield, you will automatically become the attacker or blocker. You may not switch at that point.
Onto your two benched players! Two of you will be sitting on the side during this. You are essentially sitting out. For now.
At exactly 12:00 Noon EST tomorrow, you may make a substitute if you wish. If you want one of your two benched players to take over for any of your six active players, you may do so. You must announce officially at some point after Noon tomorrow in this thread if you wish to make a substitute. If both players in a pair had already posted attacks or defends after noon time, then a switch can no longer be made. Once a switch is made, it's finalized.
You have 24 hours to land as many successful hits and blocks as you can. The tribe that has two out of three winning pairs with the most points will win Immunity. For the losers, Tribal Council.
