Your worst fears have come true. Say hello to the outcasts!
21 players have left the game at this point. They've been waiting patiently with knowledge that they would someday get to earn a chance to return to the game. Today is that day.
There was no Redemption Island. Those icon codes you found were meaningless. The chance for someone to return is open now to all 21 tonight, from Jonas, down to Mary.
Not just one person...
TWO people will be returning to the game by the end of tomorrow night.
After one challenge, two winners will return to this game, and we'll be at sixteen.
Let's get into how they'll be able to return. The challenge is called "Venganza". Here's how it works.
As the challenge image suggests, the 21 players will be climbing towards the light out of the mouth of Mount Andouille. Any of the 21 who wishes may participate in this challenge. In your confessionals, you'll create a thread labeled "Venganza". That's where you'll do the challenge.
You'll be clawing your way up the mouth of the volcano by constructing a ladder. As the title to start off the season suggested..."Chaos isn't a pit, chaos is a ladder".
Every 5 minutes, you'll post the following image of a ladder run. It can be centered or not. Doesn't matter.
The five minutes will be from :00-:05 to make it easiest. Or :01-:06, etc.
Every five minutes, you'll post ONE new run of the ladder underneath your last one. This will create a very large chain over time, making your ladder higher and higher.
You MUST post a number of ladders underneath each post so that we can easily keep track of your progress.
Once you've climbed as high as you believe you can, you must climb DOWN the other, steep side of Mount Andouille. To do this, you'll continue doing what you were doing every five minutes, but this time you'll be taking AWAY one ladder run each post.
Let's say you wish to climb up 10 ladder rungs. Your posts will look like this (with images):
8 ladders
9 ladders
10 ladders
9 ladders
8 ladders
etc.
You must gauge how long you think you can go for. If you try to climb too high, you might slip on your way back down. If you don't manage to climb back down correctly, you've blown your shot.
Whoever climbs the highest and comes back down will win the challenge. If everyone happens to mess up, whoever climbed the highest will win. A fair amount of strategy and time management will come into play here.
If you miss a post, or screw up your ladder, you're done with your shot at that ladder. You may modify and delete, as long as your time stamps are correct.
Now, how will we decide who will go to which tribe? That's the fun part!
We have two ladder runs here. One is white, and one is black. One represents Qaawan, and one represents Kraken. BEFORE you begin your climb, you must post in here, publicly, which ladder you will use.
If you choose the white ladder, you will use that image for the challenge, and if you win you will join Kraken. If black, Qaawan.
That means you can look at these two new tribes above and weigh your chances of success on either one. If you think you'll get pushed back out the door quickly on one tribe, then you can attempt to join the other.
Since you must announce in here which tribe you are attempting to join, your 20 other opponents will take note of it. Some will go for Kraken, others for Qaawan. Will you base which one you choose based on how others are choosing?
Meanwhile, the players will anxiously watch and try to track who may be joining their new tribe.
THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!
After you've chosen the tribe you wish to focus on, if you lose or if you finish, you may try again ONE more time. This time, however, you MUST switch and attempt to climb the ladder belonging to the other tribe. So even if it wasn't your first choice, you still have a chance if you believe you have the time or will to go for it.
The player who climbs the highest white ladder and comes back down will become a new member of Kraken. The player who climbs the highest black ladder and comes back down will become a new member of Qaawan.
If you were second overall on the Qaawan ladder, and beat the leader on the Kraken ladder, tough break!
You may begin at 9:00. You MUST post the image of the ladder in here BEFORE you attempt to climb. Once you finish, or fall, you MUST then post the opposite ladder once in here if you want to attempt that.
If someone's still climbing before the 24 hours are up, they'll be allowed to continue until they finish or fall. The absolute deadline will be Wednesday at 6:00 PM. If you're still going, we'll stop you. The first Immunity challenges on these new tribes will be Wednesday at 9:00.
