Chase: Really? I had to watch a commercial before I give an interview? I thought only the people watching the video clip had to see that?

Lex: Yeah, Verizon really has us by the balls on the advertising end of this show. Then Brett keeps going on strike because they aren't paying him as much; then of course you know the AT&T helicopter crashed that was carrying some of the other original All-Stars for this season, but we did some last minute scrambling and we landed Sekou and some others, so it all worked out!

Chase: AT&T has their own helicopter service now?

Lex: Well.....they did

*Lex Slides Bazooka underneath his chair*

Lex: Aaaaaaanyway, lets get started!

Why don't you start by looking into the camera and introducing yourself for fans that might need some refreshing.

Chase: Hey y'all my name is Chase Rice, I'm from North Carolina and I won 14th place in season 3 of Sausage Island.

Lex: Very nice! So how've you been man? Its been a while, what have you been up to?

Chase: Haha, well not too much, I left the show and moved to Nashville to pursue my music career so I've gotten signed to a record label and have written some songs and I'm just trying to make a career.

Lex: That's awesome, have you written anything I would've heard?

Chase: Yeah actually I have, I wrote the song "Cruise" for the band Florida-Georgia Line. I brought my guitar with me today if you wanna hear a little bit of it.

Lex: Yeaaaaaaaa, no were gonna pass on that.......but I DID hear that you've expanded on your Sausage Island persona somewhat in your music career.

Chase: Oh yea for sure. Beyond the nickname of "The Captain" that you and Brett gave me, I also kept my "Black Power Ranger" persona. My first album is actually called 'Black Ranger' and I was able to tweak away from the Power Ranger viewpoint and its moved more towards the 'Lone Ranger' but I dress in all black. So its fun for fans of the show who come out to the concerts!

Lex: Is there anyone special in your life right now?

Chase: Well, after I left the island my first season I went on a few dates with Chelsea; she kinda owed me one for giving her my vote to win the game, but it got too complicated because of her and Bobby Jons prior relationship. So after the final tribal of last season I started dating Julie and that's been going really well. I hate she couldn't be here, but shes just really fragile still and didn't think it would be best to come back.

Lex: Great! With all that going on, what made you decide to come back and play again?

Chase: Haha good question. I've been asking myself that a lot lately. I had a break from shows and just decided to come back and try to do better than last time.

Lex: So what do you plan on doing differently this time? What did you learn the first time that will carry over this time?

Chase: This time I want to hang back a little more at the beginning of the game to feel things out better. Last time I just jumped into stuff and made a lot of deals and really planned out my whole game to final tribal council and assumed a lot of things would happen that didn't actually end up happening. So i'd rather just chill out more this time and get a feel for whats actually going on.....I learned last time that Im not a kiss ass. I work hard and don't give up on my friends and I learned that meeting people like Shawna, Amber and Semhar made me happier than winning. Last season was so dramatic and even though we were in the minority a lot and it was really stressful, it was actually more fun having people I could relate to and discuss all the "crazys" with. There is merit in loyalty and friendship.

Lex: Aww that was really sweet......are you allergic to ?

*Long Silence*

Lex: Aaaaaaaanyway, moving on!

Did you continue watching the show after your season?

Chase: I was on the road touring a lot, so I didn't get much of a chance to watch season 5 but I did watch season 4 in depth.

Lex: So you do know a few of the players coming in besides people from your own season? Is there anyone youre excited or nervous about seeing?

Chase: Yeah I do know some of them. I was looking forward to playing with Sherea, we became close after my season and she came out to a few shows but of course you killed her in the helicopter crash so she didn't make it!

Lex: Hold on a minute Chase, let me just stop you right there. A jury of my peers will decide next month about what ALLEDGEDLY happened to the AT&T brand helicopter. No further information has been released and the bazooka doesn't even have my fingerprints on it.

Chase: Who said anything about a bazooka?

*Long Silence while Lex slides bazooka further back*

Chase: Aaaaaaaanyway, I'm of course looking forward to seeing Shawna again! I'd like to get to know Sydney better since we really didn't talk in our season. Colby, Candice and Kim were people I got along with really well at the season 4 viewing parties so I cant wait to meet them and Mary and Kelly were my favorites from season 4 so Im pretty excited to talk to them. As far as people I don't really wanna see......I don't like Rory at all, Sandra is death itself, I know Rob and Brandon will be strong, and Kourtney, Judd and Wanda were people I didn't care for in season 4 so I wouldn't want to end up on tribe with any of them. Oh and of course I'm thrilled to see:

*Holds up Picture*

Chase:

Lex: Did you bring that picture from home?

Chase: No name cant be spoken. Its not that its bad luck, its just physically impossible. Try and say his name!

Lex: ___________

Chase: See I told you it cant be done. At least he cant be voted out if nobody can say his name.....

Lex: Riiiiiiiiiiiiight, yeah we're expecting ______ right up til the end.
